Ilhong KO

PhD (Assistant Professor, Seoul National University Asia Center, South Korea)

Ilhong Ko is an Assistant Professor at the Asia Center, Seoul National University, South Korea, with a Ph.D. in Archaeology from the University of Sheffield. Her research focuses on the Korean Bronze Age and Early Iron Age, with particular interest in the agency of local communities amid the expansion of ancient Chinese empires, as well as archaeological work in North Korea and Vietnam. Her work also deals with ancient trade, seaports, the modeling of historical routes, and the World Heritage-designated dolmens of southern Korea.
